Qualifications:

 

  1.  Doctorate/Masters degree from an accredited university with emphasis in school psychology, educational psychology, or related field.
  2. Valid TSPEP Licensure as Licensed Specialist in School Psychology.
  3. Ability to deliver psychological services in a comprehensive educational delivery model.
  4. Consultation, counseling, assessment experience, and knowledge of Special Education.
  5. Minimum one year experience providing psychological services in school settings (internship/year of supervision included).

 

Primary Purpose:

 

To provide psychological consultation, intervention, assessment, counseling and educational support as required by the psychological services model in conjunction with student and campus needs.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1.  Provide psychological services in a school environment.
  2. Provide consultation to members of the school community including students, parents, campus, and staff.
  3. Participate in MTSS, 504, and Admission, Review and Dismissal meetings.
  4. Provide interventions and requirements for behavioral management for behavior needs.
  5. Conduct evaluations to determine eligibility for Special Education needs.
  6. Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  7. Conduct functional behavior assessments and assist in writing behavior intervention plans.
  8. Provide recommendations to teachers, other staff members, and parents for behavioral management techniques or strategies for working with a student with behavioral needs.
  9. Provide inservice training to other departments or personnel as requested.
  10. Follow all district, state and federal policies and procedures.
